Improving your health does not happen overnight.  Often, symptoms do not occur until the later stage of a disorder so they are usually signs that your body has been malfunctioning internally for quite some time.

Depending on your stressors and imbalances, resetting your body back to its natural state of health is a continual process and can take anywhere from three months to one year or more. The important thing though is that you are moving in the right direction. It is the journey that matters. The satisfaction and power you feel when you realize you have control over your own health. And the joy and relief you feel when you see more positive than negative changes and do not have to rely on pills or fad diets to get you by.

Balancing your body, mind, and spirit is like building a house. Each layer, from the foundation to the roof, is equally important to its structure, stability, and strength. The bricks to building health include adequate sleep, relaxation, detoxification, a good diet, supplements, exercise, and tests that reveal inner imbalances. The R.E.S.E.T.  your Health guide is a tool to remind you of these things and lead you in the right direction.

In our first two consultations we will go over your health history, concerns, diet, lab tests, and supplements.  Then, at your pace, we will continue to chart your progress, add other R.E.S.E.T. recommendations and/or modify current ones based on your changes. The goal is to find the combination that works best for you and to empower you to continue to make similar lifestyle and dietary choices in the future.

 Ways to  R.E.S.E.T. your health
Rest, Remove, and Renew
This section emphasis the importance of adequate sleep, which plays a vital role on our mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Read "What Happens to Your Body While You're Asleep" to learn more about its profound effect on our systems.
It also is a reminder to release toxins. Relaxation techniques such as meditation, deep breathing, and visualization are examples of ways to release emotional stress and negative energy, and detoxification techniques help remove internal stressors such as parasites and other toxic waste from our body.

Eat Well
Hippocrates' statement "Let food be thy medicine .." accurately expresses the healing properties of food.  A balanced diet filled with a wide range of  wholesome, natural foods is filled with minerals, vitamins, enzymes, and phytonutrients that enable the body to repair, rebuild, and restore health. Processed, altered foods with chemical additives contain very few if any nutrients and have the opposite effect on the body. Protein, carbohydrate, and fat ratios as well as the type of foods differ among individuals depending on factors such as background, genes, metabolic type, food sensitivities, and other imbalances.

Supplement nutrients
Nutritional supplements are an important component of resetting our health in today's society. The depletion of nutrients in our U.S. soil due to chemicals, pesticides, and no rotation time between crops, as well as processed foods and the uncertain health side effects of GMO's have resulted in a spiraling decrease of nutrients in our food supply. In addition, internal and external stressors may cause nutritional imbalances that interfere with optimal functioning.

The benefits of exercise are numerous. It has been shown to improve mood due to mood-enhancing chemicals that are released, as well as energy, self-esteem, and the ability to cope with stress. It may also strengthen the heart, improve body composition, build healthy bones, muscles and joints, and lower blood pressure.

Test for imbalances
Laboratory testing is a tool that allows us to investigate underlying causes of symptoms and complaints. By peeling away the layers through a series of saliva, urine, blood and hair tests, we can discover hidden stressors that would have otherwise gone unknown. It enables us to correct imbalances and restore function to our immune, detoxification, digestion, and hormone systems.
